The port of Amalfi, also known as La Marina, is the main arrival point for those visiting the Amalfi Coast. Located just a short walk from the historic center, it provides easy access to the town’s attractions.
The port is well-connected by both land and sea. By car, you can reach Amalfi via the A3 Napoli - Salerno highway, exiting at Vietri sul Mare and continuing along the Amalfi coastal road (SS163). By bus, Amalfi is accessible from Naples (about 2 hr), Sorrento (about 1 hr 25 min) and Salerno (about 1 hr 15 min).
The nearest airport is Naples Capodichino, approximately 65 km away. From there, you can reach Amalfi by taxi (usually a fixed fare), or take a ferry from Molo Beverello in Naples (about 2 hr). Alternatively, you can travel by train to Sorrento, where ferries and buses connect directly to Amalfi.
