Cabins and accommodation
The Positano - Amalfi fast ferries and hydrofoils don't have cabins due to the short distance. A seat on board is included in the fare.
Luggage
Luggage policies vary from company to company operating the Positano - Amalfi route:
- NLG allows 1 piece of luggage, including suitcases, travel bags and backpacks with maximum dimensions of 50x30x15 cm and a weight that must not exceed 5 kg.
- Positano Jet considers trolley bags and all types of suitcases as luggage, regardless of weight or size. They can be taken on board with an additional charge of €3. Handbags and backpacks are free of charge.
- On Travelmar ferries, each passenger is entitled to 1 baggage item of maximum dimensions of 45x35x20 cm.
- With Seremar, you can bring 1 bag with dimensions up to 50×35×20 cm and weight up to 9 kg free of charge.
- On Coast Lines ferries, passengers can travel with 1 piece of luggage with a maximum size of 50x35x20 cm.
- Grassi Junior allows you to bring your luggage on board for an additional charge of 2€.
Reminder: additional baggage and items over the recommended size/weight will be subject to a fee.
Traveling with pets
On Positano to Amalfi ferries you can travel with your pet for an extra charge. You can include your pet in your online booking. A carrier is required for small pets. Larger pets must wear a muzzle and be kept on a lead.

Where to take the ferry from Positano to Amalfi
Ferries to Sorrento depart from the only pier in the small port of Positano, which is very close to the town center and the Marina Grande beach.
Near the port there are cafes, restaurants, boat hires and nightclubs. Most of the shops are located in the streets leading to the upper part of the town.
