The ports of Salina
Salina has 2 main ports: Santa Marina and Rinella. Both ports are served by ferries and hydrofoils that arrive from Sicily, the Italian mainland, and the other Aeolian Islands. Connections are available year-round or seasonally.
- Santa Marina Salina port: Located on the eastern coast, it is Salin’s main and busiest port. It is close to the town center and easily accessible on foot or by taxi.
- Rinella port: Located in the southwest, the port of Rinella is smaller and quieter. It is ideal for those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere with easy access to local beaches.
You can also travel between the two ports by hydrofoil. The crossing is very quick and only takes 10 min!
Useful info: Salina does not have its own airport and can only be reached by sea. The closest airports are Catania Fontanarossa and Palermo. From there, you can take a ferry from the ports of Milazzo, Messina or Palermo.
