Best time to book
The optimal time to book your ferry tickets to Mykonos depends mainly on the season, demand, and how flexible your travel plans are.
If you're traveling during the peak-season months (June-September), we suggest booking at least 1-2 months in advance, especially for high-speed ferries. Mykonos is an extremely popular destination during the summer, so last-minute bookings may be more expensive or even unavailable, particularly on popular routes such as Piraeus - Mykonos.
Note that ferry companies usually promote special offers at the start of the high season, so the best time to book cheaper tickets to Mykonos is probably between May and June.
As for trips in spring (April-May) or autumn (September-October), you can normally book a few weeks in advance and still find good availability. Ticket prices may also be rather lower compared to peak season. However, ferry crossings are usually less frequent, so we recommend booking your spot in advance to ensure availability.
If you're visiting in the off-season (November-March), booking a few days in advance is usually enough. Note, however, that ferries run less frequently.
