As for the embarkation and disembarkation process, both A-Terminal in Tallinn and West Terminal in Helsinki are accessible to people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

However, keep in mind that you should contact the ferry company at least 48 hours before departure to get the best assistance from a crew member upon arrival.

Pet amenities

Each ferry company operating routes between Estonia and Finland has its own pet policy. The Viking Line ferry company allows pets at the outside deck areas of the ferries as long as they are on a leash or kept in a carrier. They can also stay in cabins or remain in the vehicle throughout the crossing. However, note that access to the car deck is prohibited during the journey.

If you’re traveling with Eckerö Line, there is no extra fee for your pet. However, you should book a pet ticket and reserve a seat during your booking. Bigger pets can stay in your car during the ferry trip or in a pet cabin. Small pets are also allowed in a carrier to the passenger premises except for the restaurants and bars. 

Also, if you choose to travel with Tallink ferries for the crossing between Tallinn and Helsinki, you should keep in mind that you are not required to book a cabin or a kennel on-boar for pets weighing up to 8 kg

You can take your pet in a carrier, bag, or backpack and it is allowed in public areas, excluding restaurants, bars, and the children's play area. However, in some Tallink ferries (Star and Megastar), pets are not allowed in public areas. Therefore, they can only travel by remaining in the car throughout the crossing. In that case, there is no extra charge for your pet.

Tip: make sure you carry your pet’s passport, updated health certificates, and necessary supplies.
